‘Use this’…

[ A deep voice can be heard from the device, with the faint noise of buttons being pushed, quickly and roughly, as if the user had no idea on how to use and activate the communication device. Not like if he had any idea about the device purpose. Logical for someone like Rodrigo who comes from a time where technology is primitive ( Read more... )

[It takes Desmond a minute or so, but the memory is almost immediate.]

[Video] Glad to see you here finally! :3 is_the_eldest February 15 2011, 03:55:54 UTC
[Rome? Federico perks at the mention of a place he knows of. Granted he's never been there himself. He'll take up his communicator and turn the video on not knowing who he's speaking to.]

Signore there is no way back to Roma, at least none that we know of directly.

Are you some where inside? Or at least safe? There are beasts outside that could harm you if not. [He wanted to make sure before he tells him much more.]

[ This voice, this face... This boy feels very familiar... But it's been about 15 years, and the only time he saw him was at his death, so it's going to take a little while longer for Rodrigo to remember exactly who he is speaking with. There's more urgent, no way back to Rome? The boy seems honest... And this is not tolerable. Who would have moved him far away from Rome? No one he knew would dare. ]

No way? How is that possible? You are not lying to me I hope.

[ Oh great, beasts? It wouldn't be a problem if the Staff worked correctly, If he didn't know better, he'd take a guess and say he ended up in Hell. ]

Beasts? What is that place exactly? I know of no place on Earth with beasts and no way to go back to Rome.

[Video] It's all good. We're glad to have you here now! is_the_eldest February 15 2011, 17:31:15 UTC
I wish I were lying, signore.

Si, beasts. Monsters. Demons if you must call them that. Things not from the home we know. [It felt weird explaining this, but he would do his best.]

We are in a city called Discedo, on a planet not our own. It's difficult to take in but it will be hard to deny when you look around. When you speak to people here.

[ Rodrigo remains silent for a minute or so. He is very annoyed. Obviously he is annoyed about what Federico just told him, but he is also annoyed not to remember just who this young boy is. Considering his accent, he has to be Italian. ]

What you are telling me is very hard to believe. Demons, another planet?! How could I have left Earth without even realizing it? This makes no sense.

[ But the young man appeared to be serious, and with Rodrigo's knowledge of God, it appeared to be less far-fetched than it should. Still, he's not ready to believe that just yet. Now his tone clearly express disbelief. ]

You are an Italian, right? This would mean you were transported away from Earth as well?

[...oh. More newcomers. Time to give him the bad news.]

...mii. Sir. You're very far away from Rome right now.

[ A female voice he never heard before. And coming from the device... He looks at it, too far away? He just hopes he's not somewhere on the other side of the continent. ]

That far away...? Hum... Could you tell me where we are exactly? I have the means to take us back there no matter how far we are.

[ Yes, he keeps hope. After all, the Pope even if he is stuck on the other side of the planet will always find devotee to help him. That is, if he was on his planet. ]

[She sounds fairly young. Maybe around ten or eleven-years-old.]

You're in a city called Discedo on the planet of Fortuna. We're far from Earth. [A pause.] ...Even if you have powers to traverse between worlds, they won't work. However, you're free to try it out.

[ Discedo, never heard of that city, probably something French. But then, she says the planet of Fortuna? And very far from Earth? He'll stay silent a couple of seconds, considering the possibility of it being true, and the one to be tricked. ]

[ Rodrigo looks at the device and his eyes go wide. Maybe because the device wrote a reply to him, how is that even possible? Maybe because he doesn't want to be trapped here. Now, how can he even reply to that...? Should he type a message?

He doesn't speak, at all, and it probably takes between ten and fifteen minutes before his reply is typed, ten minutes being the time it took him to find how to type on this damn device. Not to mention he doesn't believe whoever replied to him. ]

How is that possible? Where are we?
[ He'd speak more, but typing on a Keyboard is hell. ]

[ Rodrigo's reply are always slow to come by, both because of inexperience, and because it's very hard to believe. ]

Scientists? Why and how?

[Oh, Dio. Really? This is...too much. He can't help himself. He chuckles darkly, not at all amused, and altogether too depreciating.]

There is no way out of Inferno; there is no way back to Roma.

You're stuck here with the rest of us ghosts.

[ Rodrigo is not sure what's worst. To hear he is supposedly in Inferno, that there is no way back to Roma. Or that the voice speaking is that of a dead man he killed through his plotting years ago? yes, that's a voice he won't forget. He doesn't believe in Hell, nor does he believe an Assassin can say the truth. He doesn't believe in Ghosts either, and he's fairly sure he didn't die. So for a minute he's going to be there, in stupor at the voice he hears. That's just not possible. He died. ]

[ Finally he replies, he's not going to answer about the Inferno and being far away from Rome, as far as he is concerned, he fell in a trap made by the Assassins. His voice clearly sounds angered. ]

What is this illusion, Assassinos!? I saw with my own eyes your lifeless body hanging between those of your sons! Is this a trick?!

[ Yeah, he's not happy to see his old best enemy alive. At all. ]

No trick.

You are talking to a dead man.

They can manage that here in Hell.

Would you like proof?
