Loved this! Ratchet caring for the twins is my fav. Great job in showing a different perspective of how he joined the Autobots ^^

Thanks! It was fun to work with Ratchet as a protective caretaker - and once he started ranting in my head, it was pretty clear joining the 'bots wasn't exactly his first priority!

Totally loved this! Ratchet just can't seem to catch a break, but he's doing the best he can with a bad situation.

He is indeed :) Taking care of youngling twins certainly keeps the poor mech on his toes. Thanks for commenting!

Well written piece. You conveyed so much about the characters, the situation, the world they are living in very well for such a short piece.

Thank you for sharing.

Thank you for the comment! I'm glad you liked it. I'm trying to break myself of wordiness and working on short fic at the moment, so I'm pleased that you thought it worked :)

Aw, poor little twin kids, made into adults and soldiers too soon, but what other choice did they have? D'aw, at them sleeping all cuddled together.

Loved this very much! Badass Prowl, coordinating everything even when by rights he shouldn't be able to do anything but roll around in agony, and Wheeljack's good-natured acceptance of Ratchet's superior skills, and noble Autobots indeed being noble, and of course, Ratchet, being awesome, and starts right off as an Autobot with ordering around Optimus, hee!

I think the twins are amazingly cute, given that they're giant, alien, frontliner warrior machines :)

I'm glad you liked this. Prowl wrote himself really - and told me firmly that a little thing like mortal agony wouldn't stop him doing his job! And Ratchet is awesomeness personified sometimes. He's too old and cynical to take much grief from anyone - and all his patients are equal in his optics, no matter their rank or faction in the world outside. It's just a shame that he's had such a steep learning curve when the world collapsed around him.

Wow, Ratchet is determined, and so gritty. I really loved the big bad warriors clinging to him like littles. Very cute. Great job!

Hi there! Thanks :) I've always been intrigued by the idea that the twins grew up too fast. This was my take on just how that might have happened - and Ratchet is awesome ;)
