The twins were going to drag Jazz back kicking and screaming so he could FIX the problem they didn't do? It makes sense - they know where their strengths lie, and its not being intuitive and finding the solution. Unless the fix is to fight some enemy figures - and be the destructive force the Autobots need so a smaller division can sneak behind enemy lines. Okay, maybe they are intuitive, since they did notice the problem and are working on a way to keep themselves sane and on regular rations. But they lack the officer rank to get relevant information from Teletraan (and order the computer around).
Oh dear. Cooking with gas. I do hope it's not going to blow up in Jazz's face. (Lovely how you portray everyone's drunken phase differently: Prime a happy-hug/touch everyone he can reach, Ironhide singing, etc.
Never underestimate slightly-tipsy twins! Those are two mechs who've been overcharged often enough to know how it feels - and intuitive enough to act on the feeling. And Prime (particularly in G1) always strikes me as a mech who would be far more demonstrative if he was free to show it.
