Title: Preparations Verse: G1 Rating: T Characters: Jazz, Prowl Warnings: Angst, saboteur-related damage and destruction. Summary: Jazz and Prowl have developed their pre-mission routine for a reason.
Wow, this was dark but beautiful at the same time. The deepth about Jazz's thoughts and the currentin situation are very tensing. The reader fears with him and in the end I was simply thankful that besides the fact that he has something worth dying for, it's good to know that there is something even more important that keeps him going, something worth living for. And Prowl did well to infuse that fact into Jazz every time before he leaves for a mission. Well written story, I loved it.
Thank you so much for your comment - I really do appreciate the feedback! I'm glad you liked it, and that the tension of the situation came through. Poor Prowl, knowing what he's sending Jazz into - he does what he can and just prays each time that it'll be enough.
It was very insightful and introspective and worked very well. I found it interesting who knew why they were making the walk and who hadn't figured it out. Very well written.
The whole concept here with Jazz ready to sacrifice his life for his friends and his cause, and Prowl making sure he realizes how much they all need him back, how much he needs to live for, is absolutely beautiful, but two particular bits that caught my heart:
A small smile that took me vorns to recognise and longer still to claim for my own. Such a lovely description and hint at their backstory <3
“You’d better not be late.”
The gruff words are an order, a plea and a prayer all wrapped up in one. Aw, Sunstreaker. Knows exactly what's going on here. I love the image of him with welcoming door open but giving everyone the grumpy scowl ^^
I'm glad you liked it! Yep, Sunny's scowl is fooling no one. Or at the very least, not fooling Prowl and Jazz. As for backstory... I'd originally intended for them just to be friends in this story, but Jazz kept hinting at something more. I'm pretty sure now there's more going on than they're admitting to ;)
