I will never forget this term. I did not want to come to Hogwarts, but I arrived on the Durmstrang ship after I ran away and I was found. I got here only a few hours late. I didn't even miss a single day of school

I am glad to hear from you. And I am obviously glad Pansy could make you feel better. How did she do that? By using her sense of practicalness? (Is this a word?)
Hey yes, there is irony in most of your friends being Slytherins. I suppose more in Gryffindor should be like you.
No, you didn't tell me that about Brielle. But she is very much for you and with you, I can tell. We haven't actually spoken recently, even if I am in your house right now! But I still have my work and now I do prefect patrol and there are a few other responsibilities.
Good friends and brothers take advantage of the other.
I truly don't know exactly what she said that finally made everything that everyone had been telling me click and make me understand. I am glade whatever she said got said and I made the shift...change...oh I don't know what to call it, but I feel stronger and more confident in what I am doing then ever before.
Yes, more Gryffindors need to get over their grudges over Slytherins and just grow up. Well I know in the instance of Harry it could be harder then most. Draco has been gunning for him ever since Harry snubbed him their first year, but still in the long run it would be better if everyone in both houses could forget their grudges for the benefit of Hogwarts and keeping it safe against the coming war.
It's alright how can I expect to see you when I don't even see my own Dorm mates very often this year.
I am glade you agree this way I don't feel like such a leech hahahaha....
I think maybe you have talked more with Pansy than I have. That's sort of ironic too, isn't it?
But isn't Draco changing now? I changed this year, thanks to your help, Droogie, and you have changed. I don't understand why some won't see what's happening. They don't have to love someone to team up with them.
OT: Hooray, Russia!ragabashtuleDecember 6 2004, 23:21:58 UTC
This is totally OT, but I'm TOTALLY obsessive about Russia. I lived there for two months this summer, and have been studying Russian language, culture, history, food, literature -- EVERYTHING -- since I was about 17 (roughly...well, almost 6 years ago now).
If you ever need any information on Russia like specific customs, or weird little trivia things that no one else but a Russian would know, please contact me. I love talking about Russia!
My contact information is in my LJ userinfo. You don't need to reply to this if you choose not to.
(Incidentally, my usericon right now is of the cat named Begemot (hippopotamus, in Russian) from Mikhail Bulgakov's book Master and Margarita. READ THIS BOOK. This book is awesome. And if you can grab a copy of We by Yevgeny Zamyatin, that's also a great read -- as is The Russian Debutante's Handbook by Gary Shteyngart (and this guy is something like 30 years old! He's really young! Amazing book, though)).
Sorry for the intrusion into RP! Just had to comment.

Oh, don't be sorry about commenting! I guess this was meant to be a happy twist of fate, since I was logged in as Zebastian (or Zed) at the time I decided to finally join, and I didn't want to switch to my other internet profile for http://www.livejournal.com/users/gothlupin/ at the time! Sorry, I was also half asleep when I wanted to join and I didn't see until today you don't want character journals!!! So this is a happy accident indeed

Yes! Yes, it's true! They do keep bananas in the fridge!
They also only eat open-faced sandwiches (called buterbrodui -- it comes from the german word for "butter and bread." Creative.) But the best food that they have out there are these things in St. Petersburg called shaverma (called shaurma in Moscow). They're like chicken fajitas -- I think they're a Kazakh dish. It's strips of roasted chicken with a honey, dill, and sour cream sauce, with chopped up tomatoes and cucumbers in a piece of flat bread. It is SO good when eaten with a glass of good vodka. I LIVED off that stuff when I was in St. Pete.
