I fell asleep listening to "The Price is Right"... Not a bad way to fall asleep really.. But aboyut 1-2 hours later, Oly woke me up pounding on my door.

Another annoying thing about not having electricity... I can't "look up" news articles on the web. My little survival radio gets a single television station, "KOIN 6 CBS". President Bush just gave a press conference, and I'd really like to seek out more information and commentary concerning the various topics and issues he spoke to.

Wednesday morning. Still no power.

Izzy owes $4XX to the power company. They will no longer accept a partial payment to restore service. I have stupidly offered to loan up to $400 to him, to get the power restored.

It's Tuesday morning. The lights are still off.

The biggest drawback to unexpected offline periods, is the sudden and total isolation. I go from having a support network of 3-7 shoulders to lean on, to none.. With the flip of a switch.

A few months back, in a gesture of goodwill, I started paying him 200 a month. This was another small gesture, I know.. But it wasn't something I had been asked to do.
