Why does music touch us so? Why does our soul fly to the edges of heaven and feel the depths of sadness when we listen to certain songs? What magical property does music hold that we can forget, even for a moment, everything that is wrong in the world

I think that music affects people as it does because it is a way of expressing ones emotions without actually having to say anything. It touches people on higher level because it can depict exactly what we were feeling at that time and be right on target. Words i find at times can be inadicuate when it comes to describing certain emotions. And with music you don't need a description you just feel it.
