Macbook Air - all style, no substance

Apple has always been about style, but the substance was always there behind the scenes.  This really is not the case anymore.  I was unimpressed with the iPhone last summer primarily because they locked it out of third party developers, leading to most of its users "jailbreaking" it in order to get the functionality that should have been built in ( Read more... )

What the hell is with Apple's objection to small laptops? I remember when I switched from my 2.7 lb 10" Vaio to the smallest possible Mac at the time, a 4 lb, 12" behemoth.

And now they give you a gigantic machine *plus* a crappy set of input options? I say What! The Hell! Apple!

Where are the lightweight high-end Linux laptops?

Oh, and. The Thinkpad X61 tablet series (I have an X41 tab) supports linux and weighs less than 4 lbs. Pretty damn nice.
