Mizithra was in shock.  She had really failed hard this time.   It must have been that last test - she knew her math grade was good before that.  But it hadn't been that hard, she thought.  Was it a series of stupid mistakes?

It would be a miracle if her parents didn't outright disown her when she got home and presented her report card to them.

Oh man. I feel Mizithra's pain deep in my soul. I have immigrant parents who were of the same, "if it isn't an A+ then did you really pass" mentality. And the one time I got a B on my Technical Drawing class in high school I thought my life was over.

The Cheese Hierarchy and a poor Math grade leading to the Philadelphia Streets had me laughing out loud, among many other parts.
