After work I walked a couple blocks to the Santa Barbara art and jazz festival. Lincoln (yes the car co) set up this giant stage (which was cluttered with their line of 2007 SUVs) and portable kitchen for a cooking demo. I made a pencil sketch of St. Aidans church where I was married this afternoon. An ethereal mist hung around all day softening the brilliant colours of the leaves. I will try to capture this autumn's spirit in a painting at home in the studio.
I forgot to turn off my headlamps while I sketched and found my battery was dead when I turned the key. Fortunately I was facing down an incline and got a free start.
I drove over to Reg's place and we got dr--k. We watched another excellent movie covering the Renaissance period.
