Take it all in. Every last bit. And, while luck may play a small role, you worked hard for this. It was hard to find a safe and (relatively)do-able living situation. Especially given the curve balls you were thrown. It was not easy to find a job - and it is a wonderful job! Your internship did not just "fall into your lap",either. Your perseverance paid off and you landed an exciting opportunity. Nope, luck played only a small part in your "summer in nyc chapter". You made this happen. Now you get to enjoy it. I think you are amazing.
