Timelessness

It is rare that you get the feeling of timelessness when you visit a place or town.  Alleppey, is that place.  The labyrinth of waterways and canals aside, Alleppey's streets propel you back in time.

Did you use a black and white film or changed settings to your camera?

I use B&W film 95% of the time. These pictures are from one of my first self-developed rolls of film. I made mistakes and the highlights blew up; nevertheless, they added a mysterious character to the results.

Why is it so empty of people? Even for early morning... there should be more people. Just another hartal day in paradise? :-)

These buildings that you see were mostly coir factories (if I am not wrong), and it was a Sunday.
