Within a very short amount of space, you made me care about this original culture and characters. That is a sign of really good writing. I know that it is weird, but I wish that this race were canon. I am actually worried about prince and his guard. I also love your characterizations. Uhura and Pike are spot on. I like Spock's voice as well, but I want to give it more time before I am sure. I am really eager for the next chapters.

Thank you very much for your comments on Life and Weather. This is my second attempt at a Spock and Uhura story and my first try at a multi-chapter story so please forgive the rough spots.

I hope that I get better with Spock's voice as I go along. I tried to convey that he was suspicious from the beginning and for that reason, was quiet and observant rather than fully involved. But now that the three main characters are together I hope to let them flow into an interesting dynamic. The updates will be a little slow because I have to write several chapters at a time so that I can tie all elements of the plot together.
