I'm a lucky guy

It's no surprise to a regular reader of this LJ that I'm married to a truly wonderful girl. That is still completely true. Tonight, however, I must rave about her cat. Snickerdoodle is by far the best cat I've ever lived with. I would claim her, but we agreed thoroughly upon deciding to get a cat that it would be Tamara's cat, for better or worse. ( Read more... )

TEEHEE!

Sully will go under the covers sometimes. Usually, when he wakes me up at an ungodly early hour, I will scoop him up (if he doesn't run straight to the kitchen when my feet hit the floor) and just tuck him in next to me in the bed, under covers and all.

And he'll stay that way until I get out of bed and he is sure I'm out of bed.

He's definitely "my cat," which I think hurts Ben's feelings but I didn't plan it that way. It just happened. Ben never had cats, and I think wasn't really schooled on their mysterious ways...they sense that he's not a cat person. Except Mr. Mike, who acts like a dog, anyway. :-)

Oh, Snickers has no concept that she's Tamara's cat. She belongs to whoever happens to be sitting down; me, Tam, friends, plumbers.. if you have a pulse, she's yours. :)

LOLOL - I have only experienced one cat like that: My brother's cat Broke Tail. If you had a lap, he was in it! :-D

Gotta love animals under blankets. It's a regular occurance in a weiner dog home. Only lately, old crotchety Lucy has learned to leave her ass just outside her blanket in order to no longer give herself the dutch oven.

Sully likes to get under the blanket with Syd. They are blanket buddies.

I don't see how you can go wrong combining animals and blankets.

For instance, Rudy will GENTLY and SLOWLY climb upon any temporarily abandoned baby blanket on the floor or couch, and then look really pitiful when you ask him what he's doing. Ridiculously cute. Especially when the baby in question returns and janks the blanket out from under him. "Andrew banky!!"
