Maybe I'm not getting how much it hurt to be rejected, but it seems like the good memories vastly outweighed the bad. :)

Well, I didn't really go into much detail about that part. I left a lot of things out that would just take way too much time and space to explain. But trust me, for how much the whole actual trip was, it was the after part that hurt. I mean, I found out about it on my birthday. The teacher in charge knew for months and didn't tell me, that was a really big mistake.

Huh, I hadn't heard that before, about the way you remember an event three years later is the way you will remember it for the rest of your life. I think it's been three years since I went to England. Cool.

I didn't know that either until I heard it in one of my psych classes, I think. I know I heard it somewhere.
