&Delta One way to make an entrance

[It's another calm summer day in Kakariko Village, except for the odd tumbling sound coming from the direction of the Death Mountain Trail. It gets louder and louder and louder; something's getting closer.

[Anyone who looks towards the Trail might just catch a flash of green and brown -- mostly brown -- as it skids around the corner of the Trail ( Read more... )

[Someone's talking to him. It's such a pretty voice... He doesn't think he recognizes it, but then right now his head is spinning faster than he was rolling -- though that's what they get for getting distracted.

[He opens his eyes and tries to see who's there. He can see just enough to tell it's a woman with red hair, but he knows several women with red hair.

[He'll figure it out later; it's still hard to think.]

I think I'll be all right. Just need... a little rest.

I should be okay. [He's lying. He hurts all over and his head is still reeling, so much so that it takes him several tries to actually get his hand on his hat.]

Th-thank you, Miss.

[He'd like to sit up, but he just can't make himself move.] If you don't mind, yes. I... could use a drink.

[Maybe it'll help.]

[He thought, at first, that the rumbling was merely an oncoming thunderstorm, and moved to peer out the window to check if it was yet necessary to close off the shutters. However, the moment he sticks his head out the watchtower-facing window, sharp Hylian ears realize that the odd, unending rumble is fast-approaching and turns his head to check. ...That's not thunder; that's a boulder! ...A boulder that yells?! Well, whatever it is, it just put a hole into the gate wall.]

[He doesn't see anybody else around who can pick up rocks that size, so guess that means he better get down there -- maybe if he leaves it at the construction site, somebody can use it as gravel?]

['...Boy, that's one odd-looking boulder!' It's lumpy, and there's areas of green and white and darker brown... He circles it for a bit, taking a moment to wonder about the green hat strewn on the ground -- kinda looks like his -- before he sighs and goes right up to the large, bulbous end sticking up in the air and makes to grab it, figuring that fissure down the center ( ... )

[He's too out of it at first to reply, but after a moment he realizes that someone is speaking and someone is here. And that this unknown someone is poking his face.

[He grunts at that, though it sounds more like a rumble. There's nothing soft and wet here, just warm rock. He shifts and quickly decides that no, he's not going to try sitting up yet because the world is still spinning, never mind that his eyes are closed.]

I'm alive. I just need a little rest.

HOLY--!!!

[That would be Linksha making a suspiciously squeak-like sound as he's falling on his arse. 'Did that-- Did it TALK?!' ...Talking rocks! Hoooooly--... WOW. Did NOT expect that.]

[Oh! Right. It, um, it said something, didn't it.] Er, o-okay. Y-you need anything, over there? ...Water? Potion? ...Blanket? [In case it wants to nap? (Seriously, what DOES a large, talking boulder want when it says it's resting? ...Bed of moss, maybe?)]

[He decides to sit up anyway, reeling head or no. Thankfully, there's plenty of wall left to lean back against. The world's still spinning, and all he can make out of the person is green, which isn't much help. He closes his eyes again]

Sorry if I startled you... I forgot just how steep the trail was. Some water would be nice, but you don't have to trouble yourself. I don't believe I'm hurt, so I should be able to get up in a while.
