Mind the current, lad. [There's nothing wrong with taking a swim, but it is a river. Fair's fair.]

He still isn't accustomed to the sight of all of the empty wood and stone dwellings standing around. It's eerie, a permanent camp with no one to live there. It reminds him vaguely of what he saw when he and Majora slipped into the Garo Castlerock, all carefully worked stone and markings and not a single living being anywhere.
He growls in irritation at himself. He's already on edge because of the feeling of eyes on him, though that could merely be that the Void is staring at him again. He shakes his head and sits on the ground just before the wooden bridge, leaning against one of the raised stone platforms.
A little rest should help him shake off that jittery feeling.
The voice -- sound with no source -- makes him jump to his feet and go for his weapon. He has his feather in his hand before his mind manages to catch up and convince him that no one is here.
[Whether Viscen is familiar with this gesture or not--he was once educated on much old Terminian lore, but he was a mere child at the time--peaceful intent is peaceful intent. And he recognizes the warrior from their last meeting. As such, he offers a brief salute in return and calls down a greeting.]
[Well, well! A castle guard that takes his duty seriously? That deserves a reward, surely! It wasn't that long ago that this place was infested by those hideous monsters, after all. So Telma puts a sign on the bar stating they're momentarily closed -- "sorry for the inconvenience" -- and heads to the foot of the gate holding a basket. If he's any good at his job, surely he'll notice her arrival, yes?]
Alert, I see. That's good, honey! You keep a sharp eye out and holler real loud if you see those beasts approach the city again.
[She smiles, satisfied that (for once) her town isn't being guarded by a nincompoop, and raises her basket a bit in invitation.] Had you lunched? I brought meat pie and cider, to help you keep your strength up.
[Say, hold on, now... She squints and peers up at the helmeted face, trying to make out features against the bright sky. ...Oh goodness!] You're the milk-loving gentleman, aren't you!

I'll be okay!
[Hey, maybe that guy could help him out.]
Do you know if there's an ocean here?
((ooc: Hahaha, awesome! Glad to give someone a laugh. :D))

Not one that I've seen or smelled, as such. There is, however, a lake to the south and a former den of Zoras to the east.

"Hail, traveler," he calls down, a courtesy more than anything.
...Not that he minds actually seeing people. It happens less often than one would think, here.

He needs to calm down, he decides.
"May I ask who is speaking?"

A beat.
"This is not my homeland, but it is still my job to keep watch." Look up, in other words.
