Hooray! Zombies!

[SUDDENLY.

REDEADS.

EVERYWHERE.

That's right, the Zombie Apocalypse has finally reared its rotting little head in scenic Hyrule. Maybe they want to welcome the people who are being dragged in by the breakage of the fourth wall?

Although you and they might have a different definition of the word 'welcome...']

[WHY HELLO THERE TRUEMAN.

THE REDEADS WANTED TO GIVE YOU A NICE, LETHAL HUG. BUT THEN THEY REALIZED YOU WERE ONE OF THEM.

CLEARLY. SORT OF. GIBDOS COUNT.

SO INSTEAD THEY ARE GOING TO TRY AND MAKE CONVERSATION.

WONDERFUL UNINTELLIGIBLE CONVERSATION.]

[When he volunteered to spot Quistis as she experimented on a new blue magic spell, this was not what he had in mind. Having her stumble on the recoil into his waiting arms would have been nice. Getting burned, cut, or frozen and pouting at Selphie until she fixed it ran a close second.]

[Teleporting to a random field full of zombies... he'll have to check the list on where that one ranked. We'll see how shooting one in the head works.]

[HELLO THERE, IRVINE.

THE REDEADS WANT TO SAY HELLO~

Now watch as they lurch slowly closer. Very slowly closer. Very, very slowly closer.

Kind of disappointingly slowly, actually.]

[After three seconds, he raises an eyebrow and shoulders Exeter. Oh, she's got a spot on the barrel, poor sugar. We'll get that cleaned right off.]

[You know, he can walk backwards half speed and still be ahead at this rate.]

...Right. Well, should any of you fine undead need me, I'll be finding where by the Great Mother I am. Have fun with the lurching.

[And he's off like a shot, well more of a stroll really, towards what he hopes is a zombie free area.]

[This has to be a bad dream.

A really, really, really bad dream.

Elk hates the dreams where he's getting chased. He runs, of course, but he's somehow found himself surrounded by a horde of rotting corpses... without his Wavemaster staff. Had he dropped it somewhere? Stupid, stupid, stupid.

Please wake up soon...!]

Kaoru!

[The sound of gunfire rings out through the field, a few of the zombies suddenly losing part of an arm or a leg or otherwise gaining holes in their torso and masks. It had been sheer luck of the draw that Shito had managed to arrive here when he had switched hands with Chika. Sheer luck that he had seen a familiar face in an otherwise strange land...

And hey, if he could make some money while he was here, who was he to say no to shooting down those corpses? Hang on, running through the crowd to reach the wavemaster and blowing off a few limbs while he was going]

...?!

[Elk lifts his arms off the top of his head no, he was not cowering and looks up, red eyes darting this way and that to look for who called his name. It couldn't be...Shito? Well, this dream is getting weirder by the minute. But isn't that what dreams do best?]

AH! [He jumps to the side as Redead giblets go flying, nearly splattering all over his robes. That was Close Call #27. ;_;]

OUR FALLEN COMRADES.

[The Redeads don't know who you two are but they already don't like you, I'm afraid! Yea, killing their undead friends kind of gets on their nerves. Which apparently means that instead of attacking they're going to just hover over the...dead...undead...whatever-they-are bodies until they fade away in typical Zelda monster fashion.

HEL-LO ZOMBIFIED SITTING DUCKS.]

A dead man fighting the dead. How appropriate.

[And thus he draws his sword.]

Hyaaa!

[A young boy has already drawn his sword. He fights without fear, no matter how dreadful the monsters look as they tower over his small form.]

[Oh? How interesting. So Sparta is not the only place in the great wide void of the universes that trains children...But, that is something to ponder later. The king is already going to the fray with his own war cry, about to push, hit, smash and cleave through whatever came at him.
