[He knew that voice - he'd have to, after all - and inwardly he sighed. While Sheik had opened up a little, he was still keeping his distance and, possibly inadvertently, making Link feel ridiculously guilty for no good reason.

Still, it wouldn't be right to say no if he wanted to talk to him, so he raised his eyes and gave him a smile, not noticing the different clothes very much.]

[Was he being deliberately vague again? Link didn't know. He didn't know how to take Sheik, to be honest. Before, back... home... he had felt very close to him indeed. He was his best friend - or one of his dearest at any rate - and now he was... Well, that was the rub, wasn't it? He didn't know.
