[The last time he'd seen the sun had been months prior, when he'd escorted Zelda on a ride just outside the castle grounds in the hunting woods kept for Kings of Hyrule past. Zelda was no king of Hyrule, that was true, but it wasn't like the woods were being kept for anyone other than the regent at the time.
She was beautiful then, and happy, and it's a look he'd love to see again. Unfortunately, as Zant had staged a coup and locked her away in the North Tower of the castle...happiness wasn't an option.
She's not happy now, his Zelda, and as her loyal protector there was very little to do but get word to the alleged Hero of Ordon. He'd never been meant to be a messenger.
The roof tiles were loosened and he slipped, head cracking sickeningly against the stone of the parapets.
The twilight faded into black and when Sheik awoke once more, he lay in a field of verdant green with a brilliant sun wheeling overhead.]
This...isn't right.
[Sheik stood, brushing off his trousers and frowning up at the castle. Those wings hadn't been there...and the parapet should be broken.]
This isn't Hyrule. Not as I know it.
[OOC: Hi, I'm Starr! This is an AU version of Sheik I developed with Jewel's player-he's separate from Zelda, and serves as her bodyguard in a Twilight Princess world. It's only took me a million years to post.]
