I'm reading the Epic of Gilgamesh.

So apparently Gilgamesh had this male friend named Enkidu. But Gilgamesh dreamed of Enkidu even before he met him, and was attracted to him "like the love of a woman", and Gilgamesh's mother said she considered Enkidu to be like her adopted son.

yay for gay epic heroes!

I know what they *really* did on that long epic journey...*wicked grin*

fun stuff

Gilgamesh was an Assyrian/Babylonian/Mesopotamian-in-general epic hero. Many garbled versions and fragments of the story have been incorporated into other myths and stories, especially Greek ones. They found the Epic inscribed on clay tablets in cuneiform, some actually in the city of Ur.

And anyway I think both Gilgamesh and Enkidu were bi. I mean, they both seemed to like women. At least, they had sex with women a lot.

Enkidu IS really cool. I dunno if I've reached the sellout bit yet, though.

Unless you mean the part where the prostitute seduces him, in which case, yes, he is the ultimate sellout.
