ARGH THE UPDATING FONT IS DIFFERENT!

Livejournal is starting to get a bit out of hand with all the "new and exciting features" crap. Then again, I don't check it too often and I update exponentially less, so I suppose it's not much of an issue ( Read more... )

Firstly, I think it's hilarious that the first big change in your life is your OS.
Secondly, I am curious about these frosh. I've heard interesting (not-so-great) things. Of course, all of random probably collectively exclaimed "Oh shit" when I decided to live there.
Thirdly, personal lives are scary things, I hope yours isn't too scary. (If it is, come visit me and pretend that angst does not exist. If it isn't too scary, come visit me anyway.)
Fourthly, take 18.700 then teach it to me. (Linear algebra is kicking my butt. All of the people in my class are old and mathy. It is scary.) I hope you are able to get the archaeology class when you want to take it.
Lastly, I only just read your subject line. See...I comment even when you aren't asking for my opinion. d-:

1. Of course my OS takes precedence over all else.
...
NOT COURSE 6 NO REALLY!

2. You were so much better than our freshmen now.

3. Personal lives are scary things. And I am totally willing to come visit you, personal life or no.

4. I actually already took linear algebra once, so I can probably teach some of it to you now, but 18.700 will help more, most likely.

5. Yay! You are teh awesome!

hehehe. Elizabeth, code looks something like this:
f=open(options.fn,'r')
print f

x=[]
y=[]
for line in f:
a=line.split()
if re.match('#',a[0]):
continue
x.append(float(a[0]))
y.append(float(a[1]))

print x
print y

How's China? That's where you are now, right? I did tell you to include me in your mass emails, right? 'cause you should.

I agree that math/scienciness has taken me over since getting here. that's because that's what this school is all about. It does that to people. My psychology professor (psych is a humanities class here) last year tried to explain the actions that people take via a "motivational vector space". We all thought it was one of the most brilliant ideas ever. :) But don't worry. I'm still a good Preeya!
