The most interesting thing I learned on Wikipedia about ultrasounds is that the 3d ultrasound was invented in 1987 by a couple of university researchers (I want to say Duke University, but too lazy to look it up,) and the "4d ultrasound " phenomenon didn't occur until much more recently because it had to wait for computer processors to get fast ( Read more... )

Yeah, some people do. For me, it ruins the surprise because then you basically know exactly what your baby is going to look like before they're born, and where's the fun in that?
