I got to do art for miscellanium's fic in the sassy_minibang! It is a SUPER COOL FIC set in my favorite place, the geological formations of the Northwest US.

Sam/Castiel
set between seasons 5 and 6
Art notes: a couple scene illustrations but no real spoily-spoilers.
Artist notes: miscellanium, your fic is gorgeous, I can't say it enough. I'm so lucky to have gotten to illustrate this sort of atmosphere and setting. Illustrating Jimmy-trapped-in-Cas was secretly one of my fanart dreams before I started doing fanart. Thank you so much for being awesome and writing a beautiful fic!
Secondly, this is the first I've done serious watercolors in a loooong time, and I kind of jumped in and splashed around, but I have to say salty_catfish's stuff was what made me want to try watercolor again :) so thank you for being inspiring!

It was dark in Heaven but back on Earth, his nose bloodied, Jimmy opened his eyes and realized he could see.
Sam and Castiel
Sam runs his fingers over the reddened knuckles of his right hand, but as he reaches out the bruising disappears from Castiel's face, blue irises thin around pupils blown wide in the dull cheap lamplight.
Elk tryptich
they flow over the land easy as the hand of God.
Yeah, because the hand of God is so gentle, Jimmy says bitterly. Somewhere, near enough to echo over the rolling static of traffic, there are three gunshots. It's hunting season.

On the wall over Sam's head there is the head of a young elk, mounted flush against the wallpaper as though it were just passing through.
