is it just me?

Or is there something not appealing about getting out of high school and then spending the rest of your life working? Get up earlier get home later and go to bed at 8:30 every night or fear not getting up..... thats the life for me......

I hear that. There's a reason a career scares me. I like my free time too much. Though I like money too. Oh what to do...

I think the thing is if we wern't working all day for money to spend on our free time we would be working all day to survive and if you ask me working for free time is better. Yes I thought about it all day.

Maybe it's just me, but I used to enjoy school when I was taking the courses I was interested in, and I was feeling well enough to apply myself to the point of feeling rewarded by the positive results. I'm pretty sure work can be the same way, if you find something you have a true, unweilding passion for. Yes, there will be times when you are simply working to survive, as every human has done since the beginning of time. But as Carl Jung so astutely observed:
"As far as we can discern, the sole purpose of human existence is to kindle a light in the darkness of mere being."
