1. Grab the nearest book.
2. Open the book to page 23.
3. Find the fifth sentence.
4. Post the text of the sentence in your journal...along with these instructions.

Deciding that it had to be saved, one young man free-climbed a younger tree growing out of the older tree's main trunk and then crossed over the branches into the main tree.

YES!!! I had a feeling you might have an idea! I haven't yet gotten to it, though. I'm reading "In Our Time: Memoir of a Revolution" by Susan Brownmiller. Have you heard of it?

It is very inspiring and informative. I'm learning all about the Womyn's Liberation Movement and how everything went down. It puts me right there in that time... the sit-ins, the rallies and protests, the consciousness-raising groups and just what it was like to be a womyn in that time.

On another note, I am so sorry about your loss and hope that the pain has lessened some for you. I have a kitty/child of 14 years (she's almost 15 and in recent months has lost her eyesight) and I can't help but wonder sometimes how well i'll be able to handle her passing. Much peace, love, light and strength.

i hadn't heard of In Our Time, but i have read Against Our Will by Susan Brownmiller, which is essentially a book about the history of rape. not an easy book to read, but it was a requirement for Wimmin in Global Perspective Class. I will have to add In Our Time to my "To Read" list- there must be hundreds of books on there already... i'm sort of in love with books:)

thank you very much for your kind thoughts.
i'm feeling a bit better now, i think when someone is suddenly gone all you think about is what you're going to miss out on. it was like all the wonderful memories were hidden, but i'm starting to find them again.
i hope that when your kitty passes on, it will be peaceful for you and for her.
