I'm in the process of reading a PDF of a textbook for an introduction to psychology class and I've remembered why I prefer dead-tree books:  They are portable and don't require batteries.  I have to sit at my desk and page-down through the text, which is not bad for a short passage or work, but is more than a little tedious when reading through ( Read more... )

I know, right? I had Carlos print me out two of the chapters we covered in that math class I just finished (I can't believe I scraped a B) but it wasn't the same. I also tend to keep my books at the end of the semester. Dead tree books all the way. Still, all pre-reqs for nursing program are done and I'll be going up to Truman to get an application tomorrow, assuming I'm not dead from this ridiculously awful cold.

this nursing program of yours, is it a "plain" RN program or is it an RN/BSN program? Inquiring minds want to know.

"Plain" RN. Most of the BSN programs (like West Suburban College of Nursing) are way out of my price range (30,000 plus for tuition - eek!) However when I spoke to people from different hospital programs, there are many in the area that do tuition forgiveness or reimbursement while you're working for them. Getting my RN is really just the intermediate step, not the end of the road.
