I did not get my book signed by David Sedaris

I arrived early only to realize that Barnes & Noble was packed. I received a violet pass with an explanation that there were probably about 200 people ahead of me with their gold, green, blue, red, magenta, etc. passes. I found a great spot close to the podium where he held his speech and read excrepts from his upcoming work, which was, as expected

I have a few books signed by him.
In one he wrote "Thanks for making me rich."
He seems like a pretty cool guy.

Hehe.. he couldn't write that for me. I never bought any of his books. :)

*sigh*
I didn't get to go, as much as I had wished to go.
It was Father's Day, and my mom guilted me into staying and helping with dinner, even though I said I'd be back before too long.
