Goddamnit! I've done an eye exam and the doctor says i have to wear glasses, at least for reading ( Read more... )

I hated my glasses for the first two years. I undoubtedly look better without them, but since I'm not entering any beauty contests, no matter. And, yes, people take it for granted that you're smart when you wear them.

i looked at some frames and they were like $500 and i looked even better than without them.

I think eyesight is determined simply by genetics, not what you do with your eyes.

i beg to differ - both of my folks were wearing glasses since their teen years.
Computers strain eyes, if i was doing construction, i think i would still have 20/20

To me your parents wearing glasses since their teen years seems like evidence of genetics.

yes i do. they drive me crazy sometimes, but i know i wouldnt be me without them. ive had at least 6 different pairs.

i guess, i don't have much of a choice, besides contacts, but i'm not about to put anything in my eye.
