My grandmother died this morning, around 7:45am. Mom had gotten down to MO for another round of helping out on Saturday, and Grandma didn't even know she was there. I cried yesterday when Mom called to tell me that she was going downhill, and I can't seem to muster any more tears. Shock, I'm guessing

I'm sorry for your loss. Don't feel bad if you can't cry, though. Crying isn't the only way to express greif. If it needs to happen it'll come, in time.

I'll light a candle for you when the sun goes down, keep it burning until dawn, as tradition demands.

I'm sure it'll come again tonight, or when I least expect it (like on the plane tomorrow maybe). Right now I'm just trying to get through the work day.
