Oh God, I can't imagine having them so bad. They've made me vomit and feel awful before, but to that extent, eeeeek :( /hugs

I never throw up. Never. I haven't puked since I was in junior high, and the only reason for that was because I got sick with something that made me cough so hard I gagged. So the fact that I don't throw up, that I don't scream in pain, probably throws the doctors off. I'm always terrible at the pain scale stuff, because I think I deal with pain differently than a lot of people.

But by the time I got into the room by myself, it was definitely at 7/8 at least. When I got triaged it was at 5/6, but sitting on the unsupportive (but padded) chairs made it that much worse.

On the other hand, I'm glad that I know for sure that I'm not bleeding internally and dying or something. =\

Oh wow D= that is awful. Stuff like that doesn't just happen without some significant change. New meds? New HBC? If you were sexually active (don't know if you are) I'd even say it sounds like an early-term miscarriage, symptom-wise.

re: Male doctor doing the pelvic when you would've much rather had a female doc, unfortunately ER cases are seen pretty much based on doctor availability. There probably weren't any female doctors available. Though if you'd stopped him and said you were not comfortable with that and that you'd rather wait for a female doc, he probably would've listened. (I'm assuming you didn't because you were already distraught and in panic mode and just wanted to get everything over with.)

Yeah, asking for a different doctor never even crossed my mind. They did the pelvic before giving me any painkillers, so it was all I could do not to sob the whole way through, from panic and pain. It felt like he took forever at clearing out the flow so he could get a good look. And ever swab freaking HURT when he whirled it around.

If he hadn't just had his hands all over my bits, I'd say that he was actually pretty cute, though.

No new meds, no HBC. Just another example of my body hating me. I've never had a regular cycle, ever. They've always run longer than normal, not short like this one (It's been like three weeks since I finished the last bout).

I can't even imagine how terrible that had to be. Pain + OMG HURRY UP ALREADY + discomfort from it being a dude = massive DNW

lmfao.

hopefully nothing like this happens again and it is just a weird anomaly after which the rest of your life continues as usual!

He was! I couldn't help noticing. :P Young guy, probably mid to late 30s. It was something to focus on when the rest of me was most displeased.

I really just hope the flow lessens by Friday so I can go sit in the hot tub at Anime Detour. I plan to sit in the hot tub a LOT if possible. Because hot tubs are win when you're crampy.

That's insane. I hope that this evil period finishes ASAP and that for the next one you bleed rainbows and sunshine (um, metaphorically).

My sister went through a really similar experience when we were in high school. She was in so much pain that we called an ambulance. The doctor told her a cyst on her ovary had burst. She was in the WORST pain ever, but there was essentially nothing they could do but give her Vicodin. They explained previous terrible cramps as the cysts themselves, then it's 100x worse if one bursts. I'm not a dr, but it sounds kind of like what you're going through. I think it took more than one doc to finally give my sister an explanation. Just thought I'd share. *hugs*
