WELP. Fun times in medical land for me. FUN TIMES INDEED.

I've had a period for roughly a month now, with increasingly heavy flow. Last Monday afternoon I started getting horrific cramps almost as bad a the ones that sent me to the ER this past spring. Oh man. I have hypothyroidism, you could have asked me too. :)

I mean not that it's WHEE but. I can give you some tips and resources if you need. And yes, depression, mood swings, sleeping 16 hours a day, memory loss, loss of concentration, weight fluctuations, body temperature issues, irregular cycles, skin and hair problems, ETC ETC ETC. This is why I'm cold all the time.

Don't ever let them just tell you your thyroid levels are "normal." Ask for the actual numbers. Most people are still symptomatic until their TSH drops below 2. I'm actually more normal closer to a 1. And any time symptoms come back in an obvious way, get it checked again and make them up your medication if you have to.

At least the meds are unobtrusive. But you're stuck with it. At least, this is a good answer to what may have been a lot of unexplained problems.
