OMK says:

I LIKE KINE, HE SHOULD BE USEFUL OUTSIDE OF WATER LEVELS, TOO
Zene Tyler says:
BUT KINE IS A FISH

OMK says:

BUT
HE'S A BADASS FISH
Zene Tyler says:
THIS IS TRUE
OMK says:
EARTHBOUND
Zene Tyler says:
I THOUGHT YOU'D LIKE THAT
:3
OMK says:
YESSSSS
Zene Tyler says:
THAT'S THE POINT WHEN I SAID 'I SHOULD SHOW THIS TO OMK'
I'M LISTENING TO THE EPIC ZELDA MEDLEY
IT'S BADASS
OMK says:
BUT! KOO HAD THE MOST BADASS PARTNER MUSIC. AND I WAS GOING TO FOLLOW THAT!
Zene Tyler says:
:D
OMK says:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jPCDb_DTnGwBAMIT MADE YOU FEEL LIKE A FUCKING BADASS WHEN YOU HAD COO
EVEN HIS -PARASOL- POWER WAS BADASS.
Zene Tyler says:
WHEN MY PARENTS FINALLY GOT US AN NES IT HAD LIKE A BILLION GAMES, INCLUDING ZELDA AND ZELDA II
WHICH I SUCKED AT
OMK says:
YOU BECAME A DEATH TORNADO AND ZELDA II IS ACTUALLY PRETTY HARD
Zene Tyler says:
BUT THEN, I SUCKED AT ALL THE GAMES
AND LOVED THEM ANYWAY
OMK says:
AW
THAT'S ALL THAT MATTERS
Zene Tyler says:
MY SMALL MOTOR SKILLS WERE EVEN WORSE THAN THEY ARE NOW, SO...YEAH
AND THAT WAS WHEN I KNEW WHAT I WAS SUPPOSED TO BE DOING
YOUNG WHIPPERSNAPPERS DON'T KNOW HOW GOOD THEY HAVE IT
OMK says:
INDEED.
Zene Tyler says:
WHEN I WAS A KID WE COULDN'T GO ONTO THAT THAR INTARWEBZ TO LOOK UP THEM WALKTHROUGH THINGIES
YOU HAD TO BUY A GUIDE OR FIGURE IT OUT YOUR OWN DAMN SELF
OMK says:
YEP
I WAS PROUD, I FOUND ALL OF THOSE DAMN RAINBOW DROPS BY MYSELF
AND THEY WEREN'T EXACTLY EASY TO FIND
Zene Tyler says:
DAMN KIDS NEED TO GET OFF MY LAWN, TOO
AND REALLY? :D
OMK says:
DAMN STRAIGHT.
YES!
Zene Tyler says:
\o/
IT OCCURS TO ME
OMK says:
I REMEMBER THE FINAL BOSS BEING A PAIN, BUT WHEN I BEAT HIM
I WAS ALL
AHSDKJGHASLKDHGALKSD
AND WHAT OCCURS TO YOU?
Zene Tyler says:
THAT I PROBABLY WOULD HAVE GOTTEN A LOT FARTHER IN MARIO 1-3 IF THEY HAD ACTUAL SAVE FILES
DAMN KIDS AND THEIR SAVE FILES ON EVERY GAME EVER
DON'T KNOW HOW LUCKY THEY ARE
Not that I didn't sometimes get far in the Mario games
OMK says:
YEP. IF YOU TURN OFF A GAME BACK IN OUR DAY, GUESS WHAT?
Zene Tyler says:
But - ...YES
OMK says:
HAVE FUN PLAYING IT ALL OVER AGAIN, EXCEPT IN LIKE
ZELDA
Zene Tyler says:
YEAH, THAT WAS ONE OF THE FEW EXCEPTIONS
ALSO FINAL FANTASY
WHICH I ALSO SUCKED AT
OMK says:
YEAH, THE TWO ASSLONG GAMES
I WAS PRETTY GOOD AT IT BECAUSE I WAS ALWAYS A D&D NERD
Zene Tyler says:
I TENDED TO DIE
LIKE
RIGHT OUTSIDE THE STARTING TOWN
OMK says:
A-AWW. WHAT WAS YOUR STARTING PARTY?
Zene Tyler says:
*takes two steps out of tow- NINE FUCKING WOLVES* FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF
OMK says:
PFFF
YOU JUST HAD BAD LUCK
THE GAME ALSO FAILS TO TELL YOU
THAT
YOU SHOULD WALK BACK INTO THE TOWN AND LIKE
BUY STUFF
LIKE SPELLS FOR YOUR MAGES
Zene Tyler says:
I used different parties each time I tried. And I did that, I just couldn't afford stuff for everybody, and had no concept of tactical equipping or whatever
I WANT EVERYBODY TO HAVE ARMOR AND WEAPONS/SPELLS *moths*
OMK says:
Yeah, I guess I was just all obsessed with fantasy back in the day, so I just knew what to do. And pff XD
Zene Tyler says:
I should try to play it again sometime, I guess.
ASSUMING THE NES WANTS TO WORK
CONSIDERING IT'S BEEN UNUSED FOR LIKE
FOREVER
OMK says:
XD
Zene Tyler says:
I GUESS I COULD GET A ROM, BUT WHERE'S THE FUN IN THAT
THERE'S NO CARTRIDGE/SLOT TO BLOW DUST OUT OF UNTIL YOU HYPERVENTILATE
The truly sad part?
By the time my parents DID spring for an NES, the SNES was already out and king of the gaming universe.
OMK says:
Aww.
Zene Tyler says:
So I learned quickly not to mention that we'd just gotten an NES.
Anyway, today I was looking through the old NES games...it's amazing what games I recognize now that I'd never heard of as a kid (Dragon Warrior II comes to mind...). Most of them...I've still never heard of (but apparently some of them are semi-valuable!). One of these days I'll have to see if any of them still work, though.
