Doug is a homeowner!I'm kind of weirded out by this because, I don't feel mature enough to be able to do this. But my manager always told me that you only need to a heartbeat to buy a house. My mom called last ( Read more... )

The pics don't want to work for me, but congrats on becoming a home owner.

I was seeing if my webspace on MSN would work also. I guess it doesn't?

I saw them fine... but then again, it's my MSN space.

Cool!

Where is it? How big is it? What'd you bid? etc. etc. etc.

5th St and Mountain View. I bid full price. I saw it the morning it went on market, so I didn't want the same thing that happened last time to happen again.

Smart move! I've been looking at some condos in the Central Ave. corridor with prices that stun me.

Back home in Chicago they'd cost 4-to-5-tmies as much, just based on proximity to downtown and square footage.

Some look interesting to me and others don't. I'm slightly familiar with a couple of the complexes so I'm pretty confident in whether I'd be comfortable.

Is your new place a townhome/condo/single-family? I think it's cool that you're buying from a 'mo . . . those pictures look nice and so (unless you hate what he's done) you shouldn't have to do much in terms of decorating (right away).

Congrats babe!

HOLY SHIT!!!

I love all the wood!

Damn.

Very good job, sir...I'm highly impressed!

(I have a cousin who bought a house at 19...But it was in a bad neighborhood...and it didn't have a garage...or a fence...and it was next to a house with 2 pit bulls...and no fence.)

Well thank you - The boys in memphis and I were trying to think of people we knew who bought a house young. The house at 19 seems to be the youngest I've heard of. Has he since moved on from the fenceless pitbull-ridden area?
