Cycling to work

In the summer there are too many cyclists to count inside the ring road, mostly students and schoolkids. Outside the ring road there are fewer and they are more distinctive. I am Fluorescent Woman. I shine like the sun in my fluorescent (and warm) jacket, fluorescent bag and fluorescent armbands. I have 8 reflectors and 2 lights. (Didn't stop someone hitting me a few weeks back - but that's another story.) I also have an ill-fitting halfords helmet.

I have been wiped out of the cycling stakes by a combination of frost and Christmas. I'll be back in January, I hope.

I am near to being stopped by the treacherous conditions and it being near enough to run to work + office empty enough + weather cold enough to perhaps get away with not visiting the showers (IN WHICH PEOPLE PEE!).

Rather wish I had a tricycle for this sort of weather. But have only gone over once - last Weds when at least 2 other colleagues also went over (poss on same icy stretch).

I am Dopey Yet Visible woman - look v. QFD but unmissable, useful as from time to time I doze off and give some poor driver the fright of their lives (sorry).
