The idea of a scientist making tiny hats for dung beetles amused me, though the headline "Evil scientist tortures small animals" could, as usual, apply

Evil scientist accessorises small animals, surely!

Perhaps she also made them small bags to keep their dung moist but didn't like to appear too fashion conscious as the other evil scientists would look down on her. It begs a Larson cartoon really.
