I noticed recently that the left side of my Shure SE210 earphones has a dramatically lower sound output than the right ear piece. :( If you had to compare the difference in sound, it's approaching almost nothing ( Read more... )

I got my headphones from http://headphones.com.au/ who are based in Perth. :P

I don't know if they do repairs, but you can look up replacements if all else fails. :P

I bought mine from Headphonic too. :) I went down to their store back in 2008 and asked for a recommendation. XD

I have headphones at home, but I like the Shure earphones that I have because they're the isolated and easily portable.

The place that Nosaj linked:

Yes, they do repairs but not onsite. Andrew has had his Audio Technica sent away for repairs a few years back.

However, if you are going to Singapore, I recommend finding an agent there and seeing if they can do repairs there. It costs a fraction of the price to get them repaired where there is an agent.

Oh! But I'm not sure if there is a proper agent in Singapore. XD (The Shure website only lists places as either distributors or retailers. Is an agent a distributor?)

Woah. I've never been brave enough to shell out $200 for earphones mainly coz I go through a pair like every year. So I'm not going to be able to help with the helping you fix but HOPE you manage to find a place :D

These ones have lasted 3 years, but for the price I've paid for them, it's probably not as long as they should have lasted. ^^'''

But they're the isolated type, so once I plug them into my ears and play music, I'll be oblivious to whatever's around me. XD

i assure you. those SE210 are every bit worth the money~
I have the exact same pair and damn they are goooooood~ sound quality is excellent and the sound isolation is amazing (best way to test it is to listen to classical music whilst walking around hay st, then take them off after about 10 minutes! AMAZING.)

I can see why you'd want to get them fixed. Mine have started fraying at the connection of the left ear piece and i'm pretty sure my warranty is gone already :S Think mine lasted 3+ years.

Shure no longer sell the SE210s and have a new range out to replace them.

Yeah, I realised that when I couldn't find them for retail sale any more. XD

anarch_kitty has given me the details of a possible service centre in Singapore, so if it works out, I'll get them fixed when I go back at the end of the year.

So are your's still working? Or has the sound quality deteriorated due to the frayed wire? XD
