Hello, long time, no post. There's a lot going on and yet nothing at all - some of it was good (a visit from a friend, Harry Potter), and a lot of it was bad (ankle still giving me a lot of painful grief, a new boss who is horrible, some very bad news about my mom's health, some frustration with one of my closest friends, trying to decide what to ( Read more... )

Holy cow--those are beautiful socks; wonderful texture!

I had to go back & read through your last few posts. It seems like I miss a lot when I don't log in every day. So, I read about your accident (and right after buying a new bicycle!) and your thesis woes...and it sounds like...well, you said it best "...shut up in a dark closet..." I do know that feeling.

Sorry about your mom's health. I get really frustrated/annoyed at my mother at times, but then I think how old she is (76 and experiencing a couple of serious health issues) and about the huge hole that will be there when she's no longer around, and the irritation collapses.

My kitty says hello to yours.

I hope you feel better soon. ((hugs))

Those are lovely, lovely socks. Where'd you find the pattern?

I'm sorry things are still so up-and-down, and hope they straighten out soon.

Hugs!

You can do so much more than knit! (and you knit beautifully) anonymous August 17 2007, 02:11:43 UTC
Cellissimo -

When faced with your many difficulties - with family, friends, work, school - you are still full of love and caring for those around you.

It comes through in your dedication to creating beautiful things, and in improving yourself. In what you consider a dry spell, you create more beauty than what many people can produce in their finest hour. Your physical therapist is right. You are gifted with vision.

Be brave. Try new things. Meet people. Smile whenever you possibly can.

Always remember that the most highly critical people reflect themselves - not you.

Enjoy today.
