widescreen thursday - saving general yang

saving general yang would not be a natural choice for me but a friend asked me along.
i didn't really know what to expect but the movie both disappointed as well as surprised me.

spoiler alert! don't read on if you intend to watch the movie but haven't yet.

watched it in malaysia (for the cantonese audio) and i must say the archer guy is the cutest :P

the khitan commander pretty good looking too!

plot-wise it gets predictable (especially after the 2nd death).

i wonder if we will ever get non mandarin chinese movie soundtracks back. i find it ridiculous that we can listen to korean and japanese and french and spanish but not cantonese and hokkien. (do they make movies in teochew?)
