I don't much like the rest of it, honestly, but if I decide to do any editing of course I'll send it your way.

I don't have any plans to try to publish my musings on Wallace, so I'm not sure why I'm fussing so much about quality, other than that it seems important to write with *care.* I'm not even sure what that means but that's the way I keep thinking of it...I want to write this with care.

I enjoyed reading this - not least because how vigorously I'm yes, yesing with your experience of finding that oasis upon the tundra of so much spare realism.

One needs to be aware of, and can learn from, the general trend; but oh, what a relief to happen upon what just feels amazing and right.
