you know how in movies and books they occasionally talk about "the smell of death"? well, yesterday i learned what that actually is. i was in my apartment with a friend, playing video games, when we heard a few loud thumping sounds coming from outside the door. i have violent neighbours that make loads of noise, so i didn't think much of it. i'm not sure how comforting i find it that you know where i live, considering that i've never spoken a word to you.

at any rate, lots of people seemed to have gone through this building (or its neighbour-sibling). it's a fraternity of sorts.

in girlfriend in a coma by douglas coupland, they talk a bit about how the smell opposite for rotting corpses is fake cinnamon (like valentine heart candies.), so in the book they spray this scent where rotting corpses (leakers) had been discovered.

i dont know whether or not this is true in real life!!

ive never smelled rotting dead people before, im curious.
