Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell: It's maybe 600 pages too long, but I still thoroughly enjoyed it. It's a book that is truly immersive, I found myself missing the characters when it was over.

I've just started Hey Nostradamus. So far, it isn't bad. The only other book that I have read by Douglas Coupland is All Families are Psychotic for my book club, and I found that entertaining. I saw Hey Nostradamus in a used book store, and decided to give it a try. Have you read other books by him?
Yeah, I've read all of his books other than Hey, Nostradamus. It's kind of a shame that your only exposure to him has been All Families are Psychotic, because I didn't really take to that one. Being a huge dork I'm partial to Microserfs. I also remember enjoying Shampoo Planet, but that was a long time ago and I barely remember the books.
Man, he's written a lot. A friend and I once wandered into an art gallery on Granville and smack into a private party for the opening of an art exhibit he'd created. "Whoah, it's Douglas Coupland!"
