Well, see, that guy that shot all those bullets into her was tempted by her, um, hijab and her evil western eye shadow. He totally couldn't help ejaculating shooting bullets into her and then exploding.

When I saw that on the news earlier today, I had almost the exact same thoughts as you. I didn't think of it as sexist (though I see your point clearly on that), it just floored me anyone could blame something like that on the victim.
