Ipod

Does anyone know why one's ipod would suddenly refuse to play certain songs..Could it have anything to do with the fact that I bought a new computer and didn't transfer the music that was on the old hard-drive to the new hard drive???

Any thoughts or suggestions are much appreciated.

I don't know about suddenly, but I've found there are some songs that aren't in the right format--i.e., itunes can handle them but ipod can't. what does the error message say?

There is no error message, it just skips through the particular song and goes on to the next.
