The noisy hubbub of my retail job fades away as I cross the parking lot. Too many people have been talking to me. The world is starting to spin into technicolor. Why bother with drugs when you have anxiety to give you bad trips ( Read more... )

Those last two lines are a perfect visual and ending. Nicely creepy. :)

But I was too curious. Or too lonely. He was someone to talk to.

Before the satisfying, wish-fulfillment anti-violence violence took hold, the wolf reminded me of a friend I had in high school. We didn't much in common, and he was dangerously unhinged. But we stuck with each other because we had no one else who would.

...for all he denies it, he is better at understanding girls than I am at understanding wolves.

I literally chuckled at this.

There is definitely something to be said about those friends we end up with just because they happen to BE there XD

The narrator definitely wouldn't have thought of taking justice into her own hands (or teeth as it were) if she hadn't met the wolf, it wouldn't even have occurred to her.

I'm glad you enjoyed it :)

I love the sparseness and lighthearted tone to this, despite the serious subject. Well done!

I really liked the sort of practical relationship she had with the wolf for so much of this. It made the darkness at the end all the sharper. Well done!
