Steele is bizarre but those two commentators make me cringe a bit as well, their smug assumption that they are in tune with reality and that the republican actions can easily be laughed away.

If the last eight years have proven anything, it's that you can't assume people are going to notice that some politicians act like bugged-out caricatures of voting blocks. People we may think of living fail or pander bears are heroes to many others. Anyone that thinks it's so simple needs to go back and watch video of the last few McCain rallies and study the crowds.

The main thing that I liked about Lacewell was her assessment of old-school Hip-Hop that I haven't many people use outside of musical discussions. Back then, fakers and biters weren't appreciated and Steele seems to be a bit of both.
