My boss has been on the phone with Apple tech support for three hours. 
That would be why I don't buy first-gen technology.

Thanks, I needed to hear that, I have coveted this phone for a while, but knew a) I can't afford it and b) wait until the 2nd generation (at least) has come out.

First, reboot: "press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time until you see the Apple logo." Then, pray. ;)

(of course, by trusty phone has taken to rebooting at random for now reason, but at least I can make calls and stuff!)
