I've come to realize something about live journal. Once I filter through all the things that I don't want to read (like everyone's view on politics, the drama between what someone wrote about someone else in the their journal, where this person ate for dinner, how long the lines were at Wal-Mart, how nice the weather was in a state 30 hours away ( Read more... )

*sits at his computer reading the post while eating a Burger King Black Angus burger with cheese and bacon and a large order of fries with a large Diet Coke which I waited 10 minutes to get because there was this crazy homeless guy in line who wanted coffee but he had no money*

Ummm. I forgot what I was going to say.

I personally use LJ to keep in touch with friends. Yeah, most of the posts are useless, but there's the occasional one that's worth reading, and some of the meme's are fun. And besides, that's why they invented the scroll wheel. =P

An important thing to remember about LiveJournal is that: It's a journal. You're invited to read it if you'd like, but you're not obligated. It's like a public diary. People should and will put things in their journal that you find boring, offensive or repetative. If you need a reason, it could be self expression. You can say things in your journal that you can't say to your co-workers, or that it wouldn't be apropriate to say to your ex, your roommate, or whomever. I like to think that it's generally accepted that what I say in my journal is assumed to be whatever I feel a desire to express, wether or not people who read my journal like it. Some people read my journal occasionally because they want to see how I'm feeling/doing. Others like some of the hard to find lyrics that I post sometimes, or news articles. I like reading your journal because you have a very agressive interface; you get right to the point ( ... )
