Kljlksndflkjsd, well usually for me it's about splashing shit down and thing seeing how they work together and painting over what doesn't work with something else. IDK. XD;;; UM, USE LAYERS AND HUE/SATURATION WINDOW TO YOUR ADVANTAGE AT THE EARLY COLOR TWEAKING STAGES YEA? oWo *teaching fail*

I don't think you could teach something so innate. I mean I never learn anything from tutorials, its all about experience really but you make cell shading look so awesome. j uj

Tutorials and books help to a point, but yeah, when it comes down to it, it's all about how much practice and experimentation you get. Cell shading though? Hahaha, is that what it looks like up there? IDK. xDD

Awwww thanks. I find that A LOT more special coming from you though since I've kinda see you as a master painter. ;u; For the ones here I used Photoshop, technically it was CS5 because that's the one that's installed on all the school macs. But other then that I use CS4...but with photoshop I find really little difference from one CS to another...:I I also use SAI Painter for speedpaints/colordoodles/sketches and lineart. O3O You should try figure drawing or still lives digitally if you get a chance to, it's really interesting and nice practice! OwO

I think I'll give it a shot after I finish catching up on my LJ and DAs...and maybe after I finish this one painting I've been working since forever. XD;;; But gosh yeah, tumblr seems so dangerous too...>w<;; I did't know you had one thou? Have you just been more active there?

Yeah haha I usually post new art to my tumblr artblog, and then later put them on my art LJ in a dump :'D (too many blogs) LJ's better for getting to know people; I feel like tumblr can be really impersonal most of the time, even if it is addicting T3T anyway wooo let me know when/if you get one!!

Yeah that seems to be the thing about Tumblr, it just tells you if someone likes something and to me it looks REALLY messy which is one of my reasons why I didn't really want to get one before. *Too OCD for her own good lol* But I will if I do get one! OuO

AHHHHH. I am overcome with envy for so many reasons....first of all, digitally figure painting???!?! Fuck, would've paid a few fingers to make this happen at my school. nnnngggh. REALLY love those figure paintings. SECOND. Not only do you have so much vitality and confidence in your lines (and humor, too, dammit), YOUR COLORS TOO BEAUTIFUL, STOP IT. FFFFFF.

Well I didn't realize till wayyy later we were allowed to do that, so I did miss one or two sessions where I could've gotten more of this in. OTL. But well, still, drawing something from life digitally is a very nice experience, was something I've been planning to do for a long time, but you know, kinda hard to have the drive to do this sort of thing on your own. xD;;; So it was nice my figure as well as color teachers let us do digital if we chose to. ;u; Though, GOSH LUTIN, A FEW FINGERS? B-but how will you draw!? Oh wait, well, on your less dominant hand maybe, BUT STILL.

I'm pretty sure I have enough of an eye to call that one. Maybe you might have concerns about where to place the lines, but (on top of all of that) boldness in line quality/fluidity seem to be something that's personally really difficult to attain in my case, so I'm envious (and inspired) nonetheless. XD And OF COURSE, cuz it's how you appky the colors, yeah? I especially LOVE the red-haired lady. <3

I'm just a bit under the weather after trudging through a shower in flipflops and waterlogged pants for some 30 minutes. In London. Hahah, I hope so. My school does have a focus on traditional art even if there is a lot of good and advanced technology around. Which is great! =u= So even if I don't get to draw digitally, at least I'm drawing and learning anyway? And there's still something different about drawing with charcoal or watercolor and pencils and whatever. >u< And GAH OH YEAH NO VIOLINS. Maybe toes then. Though then it might be hard to walk. UHHHH.
