I saw my brother today. I was just out shopping and I saw him and his wife. She's pregnant. I told him I was excited, and asked if I could come visit to see my nephew and help with the new baby

You shouldn't always listen to what idiots tell you. Especially opinionated idiots who have no idea what they're talking about. I would have punched them. I hope you did. Don't get upset. Get angry that these people think they have some say in what you do with your life. As for your 'brother', I'd be ashamed of him. No brother should speak like that. It makes me wonder if you were actually adopted and given to a bunch of assholes because you're a good guy. Seems strange for you to have come from that gene pool.

And I look like my mother and brother, so I don't think I'm adopted.

That doesn't mean much. I look like people I'm not related to. But if it helps, a lot of us have had family that have hated us. I'm just lucky my parents were stupid enough to get drunk before getting behind the wheel of a car. I don't miss them. They were terrible people. I have a family now of my own choosing.

They're wrong though, and I think somewhere you know that. Deep down. You're not 'playing family', we are your family. Moreso than your biological one. They're wrong. Because if they aren't then everything we've worked for, all of this, it's all a lie. And I don't feel like it is. It feels more real to me than anything else in my life. You, me, Kenya and Tia-chan... We're a family and NOTHING and NOONE will change that. No matter what people say.

That's not right!! Why would your brother do that? Family shouldn't treat family that way even if they don't see eye to eye. So you don't need them if they're going to push you out anyway!!

Hikaru I'm so sorry this has happened... But no matter what who says, you're a part of our family and that's never gonna change. Nothing can change that. Because let me tell you as a Doctor - sharing genes might be a nice bonus, but it's not a necessity, or the vital point of being a family. It's about love, respect and being stuck together through good and through bad.

I love you baby, and I'll always love you, one way or another. And nothing else matters.

Hikaru, I know there is nothing I can say that hasn't already been said by people far more important to you. But I'll say it anyway. And I'll keep saying it until you believe it.

They aren't right about anything. Those people claiming to be your family and your friends don't know anything. So don't let them get to you. You are the happiest I've ever seen you. What you have isn't wrong. And you aren't "playing" at anything. You are making a loving family all on your own, building it up from the love and support of those who surround you now.

Senri loves you. Kenya loves you. Tia-chan loves you. I love you.

This is your family now, as it has always been. Never let anyone tell you otherwise.
